What People Are Saying about ICE Panels
“We want to build homes for the future, not just for today, and ICE Panels are a great way to achieve that. The ICE Panel has great insulation values and no thermal bridging. The panels feature an EPS core with steel studs, meaning your building envelope won’t rot or fall apart – it’s long lasting, and that’s a great thing to have in a wall.”
“ICE Panels save so much time; myself and one other person were able to stand 180 lineal feet of ICE Panels in one, ten-hour day. ICE Panels also help us meet the energy step codes in BC as they have no thermal bridging. They’re fast, efficient, and they provide an excellent finished product – high R-value walls with 100% thermal break.”
“ICE Panels are nice to work with because they are a complete system. You stand your wall, seal it up, and you’re ready for drywall once you get your electrical in. I’d recommend Greenstone to any client or builder out there that’s looking for energy upgrades or energy efficiency; it makes everyone’s job down the road a lot easier and simpler.”
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the cost comparison between ICE Panels and other building products?
ICE Panels are competitively priced with other construction systems of equal thermal efficiency and likely the most cost effective solution when seeking to achieve more than R34.
How do I get a price for an ICE Panel project?
We offer FREE project estimates! To get you a price, we need a set of to-scale project plans that include dimensions, wall heights, cross sections, elevations, and rough openings. The best way to get started is to connect with our customer team by emailing sales@gsbp.ca with your full set of plans.
Are ICE Panels compliant with building codes?
Yes. ICE Panels have completed a third party evaluation by a Standards Council of Canada accredited laboratory to determine their compliance to the 2015 National Building Code of Canada.
Who can build with ICE Panels?
Anyone who receives the Greenstone Builder Training can be an installer for the ICE Panel product.
Do ICE Panel buildings require special engineering?
ICE Panels are engineered specific to your project; similar to pre-engineered steel structures. Engineer of Record requirements vary from region to region. Greenstone’s project team will be able to assist you with the specific requirements in your region, based on your building classification.
Some projects/regions have additional requirements for high wind load, heavy snow loads, seismic activity, or any combination of these. ICE Panels can be engineered to meet these additional requirements effectively.
What are the lead times for an ICE Panel project?
Lead times vary greatly throughout the year. Planning ahead and getting started early on the design process goes a long way to keeping your project timeline on track. Connect with our customer service team for up-to-date project lead times.
